Mission
Delaware Valley College Tours, Inc. was created to promote college access for
students who have traditionally been underrepresented in higher education. DVCT, Inc. provides much more than a college tour
program, as our name implies; we also offer academic and college guidance by way of our summer leadership institute, and special
events/workshops throughout the year. We seek to increase the number of underrepresented students gaining access to, and enrolling
in institutions of higher education. DVCT, Inc. particularly targets motivated African American high school students from
Philadelphia, PA and the surrounding tri-state area.
Vision
Delaware Valley College Tours, Inc. expects excellence. We encourage students
to move beyond what has previously been expected of them and to take ownership of their educational experience. Since 1997,
the main focus of our college tour program has been historically black colleges and universities (HBCU's); however, through
our college guidance service we help students seek out a college/university which is the "right fit". We engage
students, as well as parents and guardians, in our programs in order for families to be armed with the right tools as they
persist through their educational journey together and reach the ultimate goal of graduation! Delaware Valley College Tours,
Inc. seeks to be their partner in the journey and through the process.
